Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities in accordance with established routes and schedules.
- Monitor student behavior on the bus to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is mechanically sound.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary bus interior at all times.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, especially those with special needs.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and school district policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements required.
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
- Strong customer service skills and patience when working with children.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
