Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Maintain orderly conduct on the bus following school district policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Complete incident reports and maintenance documentation
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and special needs if applicable
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to obtain required school bus endorsements
- Strong communication skills and patience with children
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Background clearance through Livescan fingerprinting
