Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from schools and field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain orderly bus environment and enforce safety protocols
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and school district routes
- Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and dispatch
- Complete incident reports and paperwork accurately
- Participate in ongoing safety training programs
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus Endorsement (S/B) or willingness to obtain
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Background clearance through DOJ/FBI
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
