Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on established routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Adhere strictly to schedules and traffic regulations
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents and school administrators
- Complete daily maintenance logs and incident reports
- Assist students with special needs as required
Qualifications
- Valid Nebraska driver's license (minimum 2 years clean record)
- Ability to obtain CDL with passenger/school bus endorsements
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Patience and compassion when working with children
- Basic knowledge of Omaha area streets and landmarks
