Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Maintain accurate attendance records and student manifests
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Respond to emergency situations following district protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota Driver's License (Class D minimum)
- Ability to obtain CDL with Passenger/School Bus Endorsement
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Excellent driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Patience and ability to work well with children
