Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise student conduct during transport and enforce safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Handle emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Complete accurate trip logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Class B and School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Child Passenger Safety Certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Must be available for early morning and afternoon shifts
