Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Enforce bus safety protocols and student conduct policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for field trips and extracurricular activities
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports
- Participate in ongoing safety training programs
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B driver's license (or ability to obtain)
- Clear DMV record with no major violations
- Pass background check and fingerprinting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for emergency evacuation
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Patience and ability to work with children
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
