As a vital member of our transportation team, you'll operate state-of-the-art school buses while creating a positive, safe environment for students. Enjoy flexible schedules with mornings/afternoons off, and become part of a supportive family-oriented workplace.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school, field trips, and athletic events
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Implement student safety protocols including seatbelt enforcement and emergency procedures
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and transportation staff
- Maintain accurate route documentation and incident reports
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety regulations
- Assist students with mobility needs and special accommodations
Qualifications
- Valid Oregon Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsements
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification (training provided)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and ability to work with diverse student populations
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
