Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from school on assigned routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Follow strict safety protocols during loading/unloading
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement
- Adapt routes for field trips and extracurricular activities
- Complete daily logs and incident reports accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (Class B) or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Pass background check & drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Excellent driving record (no major violations)
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (provided)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Pass physical exam with DOT medical card
