Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes while adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Ensure student safety through proper boarding, seating, and emergency procedures
- Maintain positive relationships with parents, students, and school staff
- Implement student management protocols while fostering a respectful environment
- Follow all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
- Respond professionally to parent inquiries and route changes
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience with clean driving record
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Child safety certification and first aid/CPR training
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts if required
- Clear background check and fingerprint clearance
- Fluent English communication skills
- Ability to work early mornings and afternoons (4-8 hour shifts)
