Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from schools and field trips following assigned routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain clean, safe buses
- Ensure student safety through proper boarding, seating, and emergency protocols
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety regulations
- Assist students with mobility needs and maintain a positive onboard environment
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate transportation records
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with P endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours (mornings, afternoons, and occasional weekends)
- Patience and dedication to student safety and well-being
- High school diploma or equivalent required
