Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Implement student management protocols ensuring a positive and orderly environment
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch teams
- Adhere to all California DMV regulations and district safety policies
- Respond proactively to traffic conditions and route adjustments
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle interior/exterior
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience (school bus preferred)
- Pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening
- Clear background check and fingerprint clearance
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Strong communication skills and patience working with children
- Knowledge of San Francisco streets and traffic patterns
