Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Pre-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance checks
- Enforce bus safety rules and student conduct protocols
- Maintain accurate route schedules and communication logs
- Provide first aid assistance during emergencies
- Collaborate with school staff and parents
- Complete daily paperwork and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with S/P endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Child Abuse/Neglect clearance
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
