Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes while adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Implement student safety protocols including emergency evacuation drills
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming bus environment
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and company policies
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and special needs accommodations
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger/School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience (commercial or passenger preferred)
- Clear driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Fluency in English and ability to communicate effectively with diverse families
- Punctuality and reliability with flexible schedule availability
