Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and securement techniques
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding shipment status and route changes
- Complete required documentation including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Represent the company professionally with exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Strong knowledge of Florida roadways and regional regulations
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
