Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to and from school on established routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt to route changes and weather conditions
- Complete incident reports and maintenance documentation
- Participate in mandatory safety training sessions
Qualifications
- Valid New Mexico driver's license (minimum 1 year experience)
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with P endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb bus steps
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and ability to work with diverse student populations
- Flexible availability for early morning and afternoon shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent
