Responsibilities
- Operate school buses safely and efficiently along designated routes and school runs.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Ensure the safety, order, and well-being of students while loading, unloading, and during transit.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary bus environment at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, school policies, and departmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, school staff, and parents regarding schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Must possess a satisfactory driving record (MVR) free of major violations.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and assist students as needed.
- Strong commitment to student safety and punctuality.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
