Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities along assigned routes in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is clean, mechanically sound, and safe for operation.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during the journey.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, school district policies, and established safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and dispatch regarding schedule changes or delays.
- Manage student behavior on the bus to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement (P).
- Must possess a clean driving record free of major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Strong customer service skills and the patience to work with children.
- Good verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to work early morning hours and flexible scheduling availability.
