Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Enforce bus safety rules and maintain student discipline
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school district policies
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and route logs
- Respond to emergencies and ensure student safety at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Excellent driving record with no major violations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children of all ages
- High school diploma or equivalent
