Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment, including cleaning interior and exterior.
- Manage student behavior on the bus, enforcing safety rules and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents, dispatchers, and school staff.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, traffic signals, and district transportation policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (preferred).
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional afternoons.
