Responsibilities
- Safely transport students along designated routes following strict schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain daily logs
- Implement student management protocols for a positive bus environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and safety standards
- Respond professionally to emergencies and unexpected situations
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Background clearance and fingerprinting required
