Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following strict safety protocols and traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance readiness
- Supervise student behavior during transit to ensure a safe environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to precise schedules and routes while maintaining punctuality
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports accurately
- Participate in mandatory safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (provided)
- Clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Must pass background check and fingerprinting
