Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Implement emergency procedures and student safety drills as mandated by district regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adhere to federal/state transportation laws and Fresno Unified School District policies
- Maintain a positive, disciplined environment on the bus at all times
- Complete required documentation including incident reports and attendance records
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience with clean driving record
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening requirements
- Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Clear fingerprint clearance and background check
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse age groups
- Knowledge of Fresno area routes and traffic patterns preferred
