Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Implement student safety protocols including loading/unloading procedures
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adhere to all federal/state traffic regulations and district policies
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment for students
Qualifications
- Valid Missouri Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 3 years driving experience (commercial preferred)
- Child safety certification or willingness to obtain
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 5 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
