Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student behavior during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for weather conditions and special events
- Complete accurate daily logs and incident reports
- Participate in mandatory safety training and drills
Qualifications
- Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with Passenger/School Bus endorsement
- Experience working with children or preferred background in education
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts if required
- Flexibility to cover substitute routes as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
