Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes and field trips
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain orderly bus behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district transportation policies
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Assist students with mobility needs and special accommodations
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger/school bus endorsements
- Minimum 2 years driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass DOT physical and random drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Background clearance through FCIS/FBI
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Experience working with children/youth required
