Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school activities in accordance with established routes and schedules.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment on the bus at all times.
- Monitor student behavior, ensuring safety and discipline while on the bus.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and dispatch regarding route changes or student issues.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT physical) or willingness to obtain one.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs in the past 7 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Patience and a strong commitment to the safety of children.
