Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students along designated routes adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Implement student safety protocols during loading/unloading and emergency procedures
- Maintain a positive, orderly bus environment while enforcing district conduct policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors
- Complete accurate trip documentation and incident reporting
- Participate in ongoing safety training and route optimization initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Pass federal background check, drug screening, and DOT physical examination
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts when required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse student populations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
