Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce bus safety protocols and student conduct standards
- Maintain accurate route documentation and attendance records
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations per district protocols
- Ensure compliance with all federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement
- Pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination
- Minimum 2 years driving experience (commercial preferred)
- Clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Clear background check and fingerprint clearance
- Child First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Fluency in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
