Responsibilities
- Transport students safely to and from school and extracurricular activities in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus in a safe and orderly manner.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized bus interior at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, school district transportation policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, school administrators, and parents regarding schedule changes or delays.
- Manage student behavior and ensure a positive riding environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Clean driving record (MVR) free of major violations or DUIs in the last 7 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a commercial vehicle.
- Excellent customer service skills and the patience to work with children.
- Willingness to work early morning and afternoon shifts.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle checks.
