Responsibilities
- Operate a 72-passenger school bus safely and in accordance with all traffic laws and district regulations.
- Ensure the safety of students during boarding, disembarking, and while on the bus.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe bus environment at all times.
- Follow designated routes and schedules with precision and punctuality.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement (P).
- Absolutely clean driving record (no DUIs, reckless driving, or major moving violations within the last 7 years).
- Pass a comprehensive background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a physical examination to meet Department of Transportation standards.
- Excellent customer service skills, patience, and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work early morning and afternoon shifts.
