Responsibilities
- Safely transporting students to and from school and school activities in accordance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe bus environment for all passengers.
- Performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Ensuring students board and exit the bus safely and remain seated during transit.
- Communicating effectively with school administrators, parents, and dispatch regarding schedule changes or student behavior.
- Adhering to strict timetables and following designated routes efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement.
- Clean driving record (MVR check required).
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
- Strong customer service skills and patience when dealing with children.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items, such as bus equipment or luggage, and perform duties that require standing for extended periods.
