Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and safety protocols
- Adapt routes for weather conditions and traffic patterns
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus Driver Certificate (S-Endorsement)
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clear background check and fingerprint clearance
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
