Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Supervise student conduct during transport and enforce safety guidelines
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for field trips and special events as needed
- Participate in ongoing safety training and professional development
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with passenger endorsement (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record and background check clearance
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings/afternoons)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Knowledge of Boston metropolitan area geography
