Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle logs
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Adapt routes for weather conditions and traffic patterns
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Ensure proper child loading/unloading procedures
- Respond to emergencies following district protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Missouri Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Satisfactory background check and driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Child safety certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
