Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Enforce student conduct policies during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Operate specialized equipment (wheelchair lifts, restraints) when needed
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger/School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 1 year driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with mobility equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children K-12
- Reliable transportation to designated bus depot
