Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and school-related activities in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe bus environment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety regulations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus safely, especially children with special needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school administration.
- Handle minor disciplinary issues and ensure student behavior is managed appropriately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements (or willingness to obtain through our paid training).
- Must be at least 21 years of age (for CDL driving).
- Pass a comprehensive background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and drug screen.
- Ability to pass a physical examination to ensure fitness for duty.
- Strong commitment to student safety and punctuality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and afternoons.
