As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their well-being every step of the way. No experience? No problem! We provide all the training you need to get your Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B.
Responsibilities
- Operate school buses safely and route efficiently to pick up and drop off students on time.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students while loading, unloading, and supervising them on the bus.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, adhering to all sanitation and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with school administration and parents regarding schedule changes or student behavior.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid US Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and background check.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain patient with students of all ages.
- Ability to work early morning hours and adhere to a strict schedule.
