Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure safety compliance
- Maintain orderly student conduct during transit
- Follow all traffic laws and district transportation protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Participate in ongoing safety training and professional development
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to obtain CDL with school bus endorsement (paid training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children in a school setting
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- High school diploma or equivalent
