Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Supervise student loading/unloading with safety-focused procedures
- Manage student behavior using positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for weather, emergencies, or special events
- Maintain clean, orderly vehicles daily
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and passion for working with children
- Availability for early morning/afternoon shifts (6:30 AM - 9:30 AM & 2:00 PM - 5:30 PM)
