Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Implement student safety protocols including emergency evacuation procedures
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and district officials
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district transportation policies
- Provide positive student supervision during transit
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Pass Department of Transportation physical examination
- Ability to obtain required commercial driver's license (CDL) with school bus endorsement
- Background clearance through fingerprinting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate vehicle controls
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience working with children preferred
- Flexibility to work early morning/afternoon shifts
