Responsibilities
- Operate school buses safely and efficiently along designated routes and for field trips.
- Ensure the safety of students during loading, unloading, and while on the bus.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior at all times.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district transportation policies.
- Manage student behavior to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting equipment and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to undergo paid training program.
