Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student conduct
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district policies
- Operate specialized equipment (wheelchair lifts, etc.) as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain CDL with passenger/school bus endorsement (training provided)
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- First Aid/CPR certification (provided if needed)
