Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Adhere to traffic laws and district policies at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete daily trip reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in ongoing safety training and professional development
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Pass drug screening and background check
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Patience and ability to work with diverse student populations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
