Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain clean, orderly, and secure bus environment
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and school district policies
- Communicate professionally with parents, students, and staff
- Implement emergency procedures and student management protocols
- Complete accurate route documentation and incident reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class D driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain CDL with P endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate bus controls
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and ability to work with children ages 5-18
- Flexible schedule availability (early mornings/afternoons)
