Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following designated routes and schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Supervise student conduct and enforce safety protocols during transit
- Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, and student attendance
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure student safety at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical examination
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage student behavior with patience and authority
- Strong knowledge of Orlando area roadways and traffic patterns
- Commitment to punctuality and reliability
