Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities on designated routes.
- Ensure the safety of all students while loading, unloading, and throughout the bus ride.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe bus environment at all times.
- Collect fare payments and maintain accurate daily route reports.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff regarding route changes or student behavior.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record (no major moving violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and lift light objects (up to 25 lbs).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain one upon hiring.
