Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students while loading, unloading, and supervising them on the bus.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and school bus safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
- Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical order of the bus at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding routes and student behavior.
- Perform a pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection to ensure safety compliance.
- Manage student behavior on the bus to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications
- A valid Driver’s License (Class B with Passenger endorsement is a plus but not mandatory).
- A clean driving record with no serious moving violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Patience, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to safety.
- Willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B through our training program.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and school holidays.
