Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality
- Supervise and maintain order of students during loading, unloading, and transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding schedules and incidents
- Adhere to strict safety standards including emergency procedures and student management protocols
- Maintain accurate records of trips, inspections, and student attendance
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and school personnel
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in past 5 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple students effectively in a confined space
- Willingness to complete paid training program (no experience necessary!)
- Ability to work early morning and afternoon hours
- Must pass thorough background check and fingerprinting
