Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain strict adherence to DC traffic laws and school routes
- Supervise student behavior during transit
- Communicate professionally with parents and school staff
- Complete daily maintenance logs and incident reports
- Participate in quarterly safety training sessions
Qualifications
- Valid US driver's license (minimum 1 year clean record)
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Ability to obtain CDL with school bus endorsement
- Must be 21+ years old
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (provided)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb bus steps
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to student safety above all else
